Who We AreIn 2005 a unique team was formed in California to address the increasing problem of the worldwide HIV/AIDS pandemic. Pastor Bob Maddux, co-founder of Project Compassion joined hands with Dr. Cesar Garcia, a noted surgeon and medical researcher to form an organization to address this crisis. Their approach is from both a medical and moral perspective. Pastor Maddux having already traveled to over 45 nations working in the field of moral and spiritual training complements Dr. Garcia’s years of service in both the research and treatment of viral diseases. Together they are now working with the support of concerned churches and individuals in the healing of this devastating disease. Pastor Bob Maddux, PresidentBob Maddux has been in full time ministry since 1968 teaching, writing, and pioneering various humanitarian agencies. He is the founding pastor of Christian Life Assembly in Poway, California, a suburb of San Diego, where he has served as senior pastor since 1988. The church has had an international impact through its various outreaches. One example is Project Compassion, which he co-founded in 1993. Its medical outreach program has brought expert medical care to over 100,000 people. He has also produced and directed various films and documentaries focused on increasing awareness of human need. His most recent book is entitled Good Samaritan Therapy: Real Medicine for the Soul. Dr. Cesar Garcia, Medical DirectorDoctor Garcia is a greatly esteemed and successful surgeon that has practiced medicine in Mexico for over 30 years. He has served as the head of social medicine for the state of Baja, Mexico and has invested years in the study and treatment of infectious diseases. |
